Job summary

Workstream seeks a Solutions Software Engineer in Professional Services to own design, development, and delivery of complex integrations between our platform and client systems. You will craft scalable solutions, mentor engineers, and drive AI-enabled development with LLM tooling.

You will collaborate with enterprise clients and internal stakeholders to translate requirements into production-grade software, impacting retention and satisfaction while embracing a remote-first culture.

Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience with full-stack or backend depth.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript; REST APIs experience.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
Demonstrated AI-native development practices using LLMs and AI tooling.

Responsibilities

Architect and build robust API integrations between our platform and client HR/payroll/POS systems.
Develop reusable integration frameworks and libraries to accelerate delivery.
Own the full software lifecycle from design to production support.
Lead technical discovery sessions and translate requirements into specs.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards.
Collaborate with Product to surface customer pain points and influence roadmap.
Build custom reporting tools and AI-assisted automation for customers.
