Senior Solution Developer / Data and Identity
Acxiom is looking for a Senior Solution Developer to join our Mexico team and support a major financial services client.
This is a hands‑on development role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, building and enhancing solutions, and working in a fast‑paced environment with multiple projects and competing priorities.
You will work primarily with Java in a Unix/Linux environment, along with SQL and some C/C++, supporting both new solution development and existing production applications. while partnering with account, delivery, technical, and project teams.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, enhance, and support client solutions based on complex business and technical requirements.
- Develop primarily in Java within Unix/Linux environments, with exposure to C/C++ and SQL/PL-SQL.
- Build custom application code and automation that integrates Acxiom and third‑party technologies.
- Support new development, ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, optimization, and production issues.
- Work with large data volumes and relational databases, including Oracle or similar DBMS platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, coding, and data‑processing issues.
- Translate business requirements and high‑level designs into effective technical solutions.
- Provide Level of Effort (LOE) estimates and help break larger initiatives into manageable development tasks.
- Lead and participate in code reviews, unit testing, and quality assurance.
- Mentor less‑experienced developers and help establish development standards and best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and optimize existing solutions.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of relevant software development experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong hands‑on development experience with Java.
- Strong experience working in a Unix/Linux environment, including commands, file management, and shell scripting.
- Strong SQL and relational database knowledge; Oracle/PL‑SQL experience is highly valuable.
- Experience with C/C++ is a strong plus.
- Experience developing and supporting production applications or client solutions, not just writing standalone code.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively when several projects or issues require attention at the same time.
- Experience with unit testing, code reviews, development standards, and estimating technical work.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical, project, account, and business stakeholders.
- Proficient English, written and spoken.
Experience in financial services, data‑intensive environments, data warehousing, ETL, or large‑scale data processing is highly desirable.
