Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or renewable energy; relevant qualifications with solar industry experience may be considered.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in solar PV plant operations and maintenance.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity within utility-scale solar.
• Hands‑on experience with large-scale solar PV plants (>50 MWp preferred).

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operation and maintenance of the 162 MWp solar PV plant including PV modules, inverters, combiner boxes, and DC/AC electrical systems.
• Develop and execute preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance programs for all solar assets.
• Monitor plant performance via SCADA and energy monitoring systems; conduct performance ratio (PR) analysis and yield loss investigations.
• Manage vegetation, soiling, and module cleaning programs to maximise energy output.
• Lead inspection programs including drone thermal imaging, IV curve tracing, and EL testing.
• Supervise solar O&M technicians and coordinate with third‑party service contractors.
• Manage the solar O&M budget, spare parts inventory, and equipment procurement.
• Coordinate with the grid/substation team for plant dispatch, reactive power control, and curtailment management.
• Ensure electrical safety compliance for DC/AC solar systems, LOTO procedures, and HSE obligations.
• Support commissioning activities, string testing, and performance verification during startup.
