Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong background in building and scaling multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
• Proven ability to design and implement scalable, distributed systems.
• Proficiency in business intelligence tools and SQL, with data-driven decision making.
• Experience optimizing site speed and performance using best practices and tooling (Lighthouse, WebPageTest).
• Familiarity with CDNs, DNS, queues, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms like Shopify and Salesforce Commerce Cloud is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, and collaboration.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Summary

As a Senior Software Engineer , you will play a crucial role in architecting, scaling, and optimizing the company’s core platform and product offerings. Your expertise will drive significant technical improvements and enhance customer satisfaction through effective collaboration and technical contributions.

What you’ll be doing:

• Strategic Influence and Leadership
  • Exert significant influence over the company’s long-term goals and execution.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and teams across the organization to define initiatives and the technical roadmap.
  • Ensure alignment of OKR-level goals across the organization.
  • Author technical vision artifacts with a long-term horizon (>1 year) and assist teams in translating this vision into actionable backlogs.
  • Plan improvements and features with a 6-month view, driving significant enhancements in customer satisfaction, ease of onboarding, and technical efficiency.
• Technical Development and Oversight
  • Drive and oversee the research, development, and design of engineering projects.
  • Solve technical problems of the highest scope, complexity, and ambiguity.
  • Work with Product and Engineering teams to build new internal/external features and enhance our existing product offering.
  • Ship extremely high-impact features and improvements with minimal guidance.
• Collaboration and Mentorship
  • Provide mentorship for engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Guide conversations to remove blockers and encourage collaboration.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for sub-department teams facing complex technical challenges.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve our systems and products.
• Expose technology and organizational needs throughout the department to ensure continuous alignment and improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience : 10+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong background in building and scaling multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
• Architectural Expertise : Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable, distributed systems.
• Business Intelligence and SQL: Proficiency in business intelligence tools and SQL, with the ability to analyze data, build data-driven products, and substantiate ideas with quantitative evidence.
• Site Speed Optimization: Demonstrated experience in optimizing website performance and speed, with a deep understanding of web performance best practices, tools (e.g., Lighthouse, WebPageTest), and techniques for reducing load times and improving user experience.
• Tools and Technologies : Familiarity with content delivery networks (e.g., Cloudflare), DNS, message queues (e.g., SQS, Kinesis), and CI/CD pipelines.
• E-commerce Platforms : Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and Salesforce Commerce Cloud is a plus.
• Soft Skills : Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and organization, and a collaborative mindset.
• Methodologies : Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
