Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP developer to design and implement SAP-based backend solutions for ECC and S/4 systems. You will work with business and IT teams to translate requirements into high-quality code and robust architectures.

The role involves collaboration across global IT and business units, contributing to deployment projects and ongoing improvements in SAP landscapes. Strong ABAP and Fiori/SAPUI5 skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Minimum 5 years of SAP development experience with end-to-end implementation and support.
• Strong SAP development capabilities including ABAP/4, ABAP OO, CDS, OData, Forms and Interfaces (ALE/IDoc, SOAP).
• Experience with RESTful API, Fiori Elements and Fiori Freestyle (SAPUI5, JS); Eclipse ADT and BAS are a plus.
• Ability to work in an international English-speaking team environment.

Responsibilities

• Solution delivery in SAP landscapes, coding and architecture for ECC and S/4.
• Collaborate with business users and IT to translate requirements into solutions with proper testing and documentation.
• Support SAP deployment projects and hyper care phases to ensure stability.
• Mentor team members and promote coding best practices.
• Coordinate with solution architects, SAP Development, and external vendors to maintain IT landscape.
