Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP developer to join our SAP Development team. You will design and deliver backend services and business logic for ECC and S/4 landscapes, using both classic and modern development methods.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders and IT to translate requirements into robust, well-documented solutions, perform unit and integration tests, and support deployments and hyper care phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional SAP development experience (end-to-end implementation and support).
• Extensive SAP development capabilities: ABAP/4, ABAP OO, CDS, OData, Forms & Interfaces (ALE/IDoc, SOAP).
• Experience with RESTful API, Fiori Elements & Fiori Freestyle (SAPUI5, JS).
• Familiar with Eclipse ADT and SAP BAS as development tools.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of solution design and implementation in SAP landscapes (ECC and S/4).
• Collaborate with business contributors and IT to develop high-quality code with tests and documentation.
• Support SAP deployment projects and hyper care phases; troubleshoot to ensure operational stability.
• Mentor team members and promote best practices in coding and reviews.
• Work with solution architects and IT service teams to maintain the SAP landscape.
