Job summary

Avid Sports Philippines Inc. is seeking a friendly cashier to support daily sales operations in our Makati store. You will handle checkout, process payments, issue receipts, and assist customers with product information and promotions.

You will also balance cash at shift start and end, verify card transactions, manage returns, and maintain an organized, compliant checkout area while following company policies. Experience handling discounts and refunds is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Register sales accurately by scanning items, itemizing, and totaling customer purchases.
• Collect payments by accepting cash, checks, or card payments and provide correct change when necessary.
• Issue receipts, answer customer inquiries, and offer product or promotional information.
• Handle customer complaints and process refunds or exchanges in a professional manner.
• Ensure a clean and organized checkout area at all times.
• Verify credit card transactions by reviewing and recording required identification (e.g., driver’s license number).
• Operate and troubleshoot credit card authorization systems to ensure smooth payment processing.
• Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure accurate cash handling.
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to financial transactions and report discrepancies.
• Maintain efficient checkout operations and communicate any policy or procedural changes to management.
• Process incoming deliveries using the NRS system and ensure accurate documentation.
• Ensure sales reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
• Apply eligible employee discounts correctly during transactions.
• Preferably knowledgeable with stringing.
