Job summary

Avid Sports Philippines Inc. is hiring a customer-focused cashier to support daily sales and ensure accurate checkout processes. You will handle cash, card, and check payments, issue receipts, answer inquiries, and keep the register area tidy and compliant.

You will verify transactions, process refunds or exchanges professionally, and communicate policy changes to management. Experience with discounts and POS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Register sales accurately by scanning items, itemizing, and totaling customer purchases.
• Collect payments by accepting cash, checks, or card payments and provide correct change when necessary.
• Issue receipts, answer customer inquiries, and offer product or promotional information.
• Handle customer complaints and process refunds or exchanges in a professional manner.
• Ensure a clean and organized checkout area at all times.
• Verify credit card transactions by reviewing and recording required identification (e.g., driver’s license number).
• Operate and troubleshoot credit card authorization systems to ensure smooth payment processing.
• Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure accurate cash handling.
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to financial transactions and report discrepancies.
• Maintain efficient checkout operations and communicate any policy or procedural changes to management.
• Process incoming deliveries using the NRS system and ensure accurate documentation.
• Ensure sales reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
• Apply eligible employee discounts correctly during transactions.
• Preferably knowledgeable with stringing.
