Qualifications

• 3+ years of Rust backend development experience.
• Strong C++ knowledge for interfacing with low-level systems.
• Hands-on distributed storage systems experience.
• Concurrency-focused programming with async patterns and multithreading.
• RPC experience using gRPC or Apache Thrift.
• Cloud-native patterns including service discovery/mesh.
• Solid system design for scalable, highly available services.
• Strong data structures and algorithms knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable backend services integrated with distributed storage.
• Build high-performance Rust components for distributed workloads.
• Develop and maintain RPC-based services using gRPC or similar.
• Implement asynchronous, concurrency-safe service logic.
• Define architecture for high availability and scalability.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and health issues.
• Provide on-call support and improve tooling/runbooks.
• Collaborate with global teams across time zones.
• Evaluate replication, sharding, and resharding strategies.
