Job summary

Aurecon Group is seeking a Senior Civil Designer to support transport infrastructure design and delivery. You’ll contribute to multidisciplinary road projects from tender to detail design, collaborating with engineers and project managers to deliver practical, coordinated civil designs.

The role emphasizes autonomy, quality, innovation, and the ability to review design outputs and models while aligning to budget and schedule requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Minimum eight years' experience in major roads projects and knowledge of Australian Standards.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage 3D civil models, including corridors, terrain models, alignments, profiles and templates.
• Develop road geometry, including horizontal and vertical alignments, intersections widening and earthworks.
• Prepare civil design plans, profiles, cross-sections and construction documentation.
• Work closely with engineers, project managers to deliver practical, coordinated and construction-ready civil designs.
• Support project delivery in line with quality, budget and schedule requirements.
• Produce and manage quantity take-offs and schedules from the 3D model.
• Prepare technical reports, design documentation and client presentations.
• Must be able to work autonomously with minimal support from engineers and other designers.
