Job summary

Aurecon Australasia Pty Ltd in Manila, Philippines is seeking a Senior Civil Designer to support the design and delivery of transport infrastructure projects, from tender through detail design.

You will develop road geometry, manage 3D models, prepare construction documentation and work with engineers and PMs to ensure practical, coordinated designs. The role emphasizes autonomous work, adherence to standards, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum eight years' experience in civil design.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and design practices.
• Demonstrated experience on major roads projects.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design activities.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to review, verify and approve design outputs and models.
• A proactive mindset focused on quality, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Experience on Australian state or local government transport projects.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage 3D civil models, including corridors, terrain models, alignments and templates.
• Develop road geometry, including horizontal and vertical alignments, intersections and earthworks.
• Prepare civil design plans, profiles, cross-sections and construction documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to deliver construction-ready civil designs.
• Support project delivery in line with quality, budget and schedule requirements.
• Produce and manage quantity take-offs and schedules from the 3D model.
• Prepare technical reports, design documentation and client presentations.
• Work autonomously with minimal support from engineers and other designers.
