Job summary

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Civil Drafter to support transport infrastructure design and delivery, from tender to detail design, within an integrated design team.

You will develop multidisciplinary road projects, ensuring coordination with engineers and project managers to deliver construction-ready drawings that meet quality, budget, and schedule targets. ISO19650 workflows and CAD/BIM standards are central to this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
• Experience on major roads projects.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an integrated design team.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, coordinated documentation.
• Experience working on Australian state transport projects.
• Familiarity with Australian state drafting standards.
• Understanding of ISO19650.
• Essential - ProjectWise (must understand document management systems), MicroStation (non-negotiable).
• Desirable - AutoCAD, Autodesk Forma & Revit.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil engineering plans, profiles, cross-sections and construction documentation.
• Maintain drawing standards, levels, references, naming conventions and project documentation.
• Work closely with engineers, project managers to deliver practical, coordinated and construction-ready civil drawings.
• Support project delivery in line with quality, budget and schedule requirements.
• Support the implementation of CAD/BIM and digital engineering standards.
• Managed ISO19650 workflows.
• Maintain CAD Standards.
• Demonstrate experience in managing drawing revisions and document control requirements.
