Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Senior Retrofit Engineer in the Philippines to plan and oversee plant room retrofit projects, ensuring timely delivery, safety, and quality as per contractual obligations.

You will coordinate resources, budgets, and stakeholders, driving project implementation and delivery while maintaining client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 2 years solid experience in HVAC equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC.
• Ability to read and understand plans & specifications.
• Knowledge of local and industry codes that regulate the HVAC industry.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and Basic CAD tools.
• Estimating skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team manager in order-to-cash management and collaborate with stream managers in revenue planning.
• Prepare project implementation plan and coordinate with stakeholders; initiate kick-off meetings.
• Lead the project execution, assign tasks and monitor progress.
• Control costs and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Manage risks and implement mitigation plans; ensure safety compliance.
• Communicate updates and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Ensure deliverables meet client quality standards and requirements.
• Assist sales with technical analysis of customer needs and requirements.
• Perform site surveys and plantroom walkthroughs; gather operating parameters and attend pre-bid activities.
• Assist sales in designing technical solutions by mapping requirements to products and services.

About the role

The Senior Retrofit Engineer is dedicated to serve customers and responsible for planning and overseeing plant room retrofit projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget by ensuring high job site safety and quality fulfillment of contractual obligations for customer satisfaction. The Senior Retrofit Engineer plans and allocates project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed throughout the project implementation and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the team manager in order-to-cash management and collaborate with the stream managers in revenue planning (forecasting & execution)
• Prepare project implementation plan, coordinate with stakeholders and initiate internal & external kick-off meetings
• Lead the project execution, identify & disseminate the tasks and monitor the progress
• Control the costs and ensure that resources are utilized efficiently
• Manage risks, prepare mitigation plan and ensure compliance with the company policies & safety regulations
• Communicate updates, manage expectations and ensure transparency
• Ensure deliverables meet the client's quality standards and requirements
• Assist sales team on the technical analysis of the customer's pain points, needs and requirements
• Perform site surveys/plantroom walkthrough, validate plantroom operation sequence & gather operating parameters, attend pre-bid, conduct tender clarifications and interview plantroom owners
• Assist sales team in designing technical solutions by mapping requirements into products & services

About you

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 2 years solid experience in HVAC equipment
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC
• Ability to read and understand plans & specifications
• Knowledge of local and industry codes that regulate the HVAC industry
• Ability to use Microsoft Platforms (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Basic CAD tools
• Estimating skills
• Effective negotiator
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and collaborate with multifunctional teams
