Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Lead Recreation Services Specialist to oversee recreational activities for a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role focuses on leadership, program development, and event coordination to ensure high-quality participant experiences.

Responsibilities include supervising services, officiating sports, managing facilities, and developing marketing for community engagement. Travel and international deployment are required, with safety and training compliance a priority.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years experience in military or civilian recreational services.
• Certification as an American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Instructor.
• Proficiency in officiating Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Softball, and Flag Football.
• Experience in marketing and promotion of recreational programs or events.
• Strong organizational and time management skills for coordinating multiple programs.
• Proven leadership and communication skills to lead teams and engage participants.
• Must complete training certifications including CPR, First Aid, AED, and safety procedures with annual recertification.
• Ability to read/speak English to comply with contract requirements and procedures.
• Ability to obtain visas and travel internationally; passport valid for deployment.

Responsibilities
