Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aquatics Manager to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. You will oversee daily operations of aquatic facilities, ensuring safety, quality customer service, and compliance with MWR policies and procedures.

The role requires a Bachelors degree in recreation or a related field, 3+ years of supervisory experience in aquatics, CPR certification, and the ability to travel internationally. Strong leadership and program development skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Recreation, Physical Education, Leisure Services, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory/leadership experience in aquatics or recreation operations.
• Current American Red Cross CPR Certification.
• Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
• Ability to obtain country-specific visas and meet deployment medical requirements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
• English proficiency to perform contract requirements and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of aquatic facilities, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and a positive environment for patrons.
• Assist Program Manager with administrative, operational, and management tasks for aquatics programs.
• Plan, organize, implement, and evaluate aquatic, fitness, instructional, and community recreation programs.
• Coordinate aquatic events, instructional classes, and community programs.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and performance management to ensure high-quality customer service.
