Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Senior Embedded Engineer (Real-Time) to architect and develop deterministic systems operating within strict real-time constraints, integrating low-level code with high-performance hardware.

This 100% remote role offers USD or local currency compensation, flexible hours, and a global, multicultural team; you will work across RTOS such as FreeRTOS, VxWorks, Zephyr, or QNX.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Embedded Systems or Software Engineering.
• Experience with real-time, deterministic systems and RTOS.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design deterministic software architectures for safety-critical applications.
• Develop and optimize firmware on RTOS platforms to meet hard deadlines.
• Configure real-time scheduling and task priorities for predictability.
• Manage hardware–software interfaces within memory and processing limits.
• Debug and tune timing and synchronization issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and ensure hardware integration.
