Job summary

BairesDev is seeking an Embedded Linux Engineer to design and build custom Linux distributions for embedded devices. You will ensure robust hardware-software integration and develop BSPs to power next-generation IoT and industrial solutions.

You will optimize the Linux kernel and bootloaders, manage cross-compilation toolchains, and collaborate with hardware teams. This remote role offers international opportunities and strong English proficiency requirements.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in Embedded Systems or Linux Engineering.
Experience building custom Linux distributions with Yocto Project or Buildroot.
Experience creating and maintaining BSPs.
Experience with cross-compilation toolchains and embedded software development.
Strong understanding of the Linux kernel and hardware-software integration.
Advanced English proficiency.

Responsibilities

Design and develop custom Linux distributions for various hardware architectures.
Create and maintain BSPs to ensure hardware-software compatibility.
Configure and optimize the Linux kernel and bootloaders for embedded systems.
Manage cross-compilation toolchains and build environments.
Debug and resolve low-level system issues related to drivers, memory management, and performance.
