BairesDev is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to architect and build custom embedded Linux distributions for diverse hardware. You will lead board bring-up, U-Boot usage, and BSP development to ensure solid hardware-software integration.

The role requires hands-on kernel module development, low-level programming, and deep knowledge of ARM/x86 architectures, with strong English communication. This is a remote opportunity offering global collaboration and growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Embedded Software Engineering focusing on Linux systems.
• Proven expertise in developing embedded Linux distributions using Yocto Project or Buildroot.
• Hands-on experience with board bring-up, U-Boot, and kernel module development.
• Proficiency in low-level systems programming and device driver development.
• Deep understanding of ARM or x86 architectures and system-level troubleshooting.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build custom embedded Linux distributions tailored to specific hardware needs.
• Perform initial board bring-up and hardware initialization using low-level bootloaders like U-Boot.
• Develop and maintain Board Support Packages (BSPs) to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
• Design and optimize the Linux kernel and device drivers to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Implement robust security protocols and enterprise-grade maintenance for mission-critical embedded systems.
