Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a senior accounting leader to oversee all day-to-day accounting operations for our real estate projects. You will manage the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, billing, and revenue recognition, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Qualifications

• CPA required with 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Hands-on experience with accounting systems and ERP software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations for real estate projects, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, billing, and revenue recognition, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for properties and projects, providing timely and reliable reports to support management and investment decisions.
• Manage treasury and cash flow functions, including cash positioning, collections, disbursements, banking relationships, and monitoring project funding requirements.
• Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements applicable to real estate operations, including coordination with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
• Establish and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets, improve operational efficiency, and manage financial risks across properties.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate the accounting team, promoting high performance, professional development, and effective collaboration with property management, leasing, and project teams.
