Job summary

TE Connectivity Ltd. in the Philippines seeks a senior mechanical engineer to lead the technical domain of socket, high‑speed connector, and cable assembly products, from market definition through production.

You will collaborate with customers, TE Product Managers, Sales and Field Application Engineers to translate VOC into detailed specifications, perform feasibility studies, DFMEA, GD&T, and simulations, and drive design reviews and validation for safe, on‑time launches.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
8+ years of mechanical engineering experience with electrical components, mechanisms, tooling or manufacturing processes.
Experience in socket or connector design and related mechanical development.
Strong knowledge of material selection, tolerance analysis and DFMEA.
Proficient in 3D design tools (Creo/SpaceClaim) and GD&T.
Experience with finite element analysis tools (Ansys/Workbench) is a plus.
Fluent in English; able to collaborate across time zones.

Responsibilities

Lead product development of socket, high-speed connector, and cable assemblies from concept through production.
Convert VOC into TE design concepts and preliminary specifications.
Conceive concepts, perform feasibility studies and simulations.
Develop detailed designs with 2D/3D drawings and perform DFMEA/tolerance analysis.
Build prototypes, validate designs and drive product qualification.
Provide technical support to operations for efficient launches and issue resolution.
