Job summary

Teradyne is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (IST) in the Philippines: Cebu, to design, develop, and test mechanical systems from concept through production. You will create 3D models, perform FEA/CFD analyses, and lead projects while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with internal and external partners.

You will manage the full lifecycle, provide manufacturing support, and drive design reviews to ensure quality and reliability. Strong CAD skills and project leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: 5–10+ years in mechanical design and development.
• Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD).
• Experience with FEA and CFD analyses.
• Strong understanding of mechanics, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models, drawings, and schematics using SolidWorks.
• Perform FEA/CFD analyses to evaluate performance and safety.
• Manage project budgets and schedules; coordinate with teams and vendors.
• Serve as technical leader, mentor junior engineers, and conduct design reviews.
• Oversee product lifecycle from concept to prototyping, testing, and transfer to manufacturing.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and production teams.
• Investigate failures and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, and PM teams for system integration.
• Communicate complex information clearly to stakeholders.
