Job summary

BAYES in the Philippines seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the Senior Manager, Contracts in cost estimation, planning, and controlling all project costs, including contractual, tender, and claim issues.

You will oversee post-contract QS functions, administer contracts, monitor budgets, and provide commercial advice to project teams. Degree in QS or related and 5–8 years' procurement experience required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in procurement of construction projects and/or variation works.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and QS administration.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee post-contract QS functions including measurement, valuation, and cost control for civil works.
• Administer contracts, manage variations, claims, and payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor project budgets, forecast costs, and prepare financial reports for management.
• Conduct site visits and liaise with project teams to track progress and resolve commercial issues.
• Review and verify subcontractor claims, variations, and final accounts.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms, company policies, and client requirements.
• Provide commercial advice and support to project managers and engineers.
• Maintain updated records of cost data, procurement, and contract documentation.
