Job summary

SMEC Philippines is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and contract administration for major infrastructure projects. You will study drawings, compile cost data, and monitor budgets.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5–10 years of experience, strong Excel and estimation software skills, and the ability to work under deadlines in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 5–10 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost control.
• Proficiency in Excel; familiar with estimation software (CostX, Planswift, AutoCAD).
• Ability to read construction drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Study drawings, specifications, and tender docs for quantity take-off and cost preparation.
• Prepare quantity measurements and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Assist in compiling cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions.
• Support feasibility studies and preliminary cost planning exercises.
• Monitor and maintain cost databases, unit rates, and quotations.
