Job summary

Manulife John Hancock seeks an experienced Quality Engineering expert to drive automation testing and ensure high-quality software products. You will design and run comprehensive test plans, maintain scripts, and analyze results to guide developers toward quality-centric delivery.

Ideal candidates bring extensive QA experience, strong automation skills with Playwright and Selenium, and a collaborative mindset to coach peers and contribute to code reviews.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of Quality Engineering experience.
• At least 5 years of Automation Testing experience.
• At least 2 years of Playwright experience.
• Experience in Selenium.
• Familiarity with Cucumber and open-source testing frameworks.

Job description

Position Responsibilities:

• Reviews and translates requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide meaningful feedback to product developers
• Creates, maintains and executes automation test scripts
• Analyzes automation results and investigate failures
• Designs detailed and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Identifies KPIs for product quality
• Tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities, defect frequency first time pass rate
• Keeps up-to-date on latest test software and frameworks
• Drives software development process to quality-centric methodologies
• Identifies Quality Assurance process bottlenecks and design and implement solutions
• Controls, updates and distributes new and revised quality standards and technical changes
• Prepares and deliver formal quality audit reports

Knowledge & skills

• Expert in software quality assurance
• Expert in writing broad test plans and test cases
• Expert in Cucumber, Selenium and open-source testing frameworks
• Expert in different testing techniques i.e. UI testing, Automated testing; familiar with behaviour driven testingCollaborative attitude, willingness to work with team members; able to coach, participate in code reviews, share skills and methodsConstantly learns from both success and failure
• Good verbal and written communication; effectively articulates technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes
• Good organizational and problem-solving abilities that enable you to manage through creative abrasion
• Experiments with emerging technologies and understanding how they will impact what comes next

Required Qualifications:
