Manulife IT Delivery Center Asia Inc. seeks a lead Quality Engineer to steer automation and testing strategy across global digital products.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of progressive experience in Quality Engineering, Software Testing, or QA with a track record in large-scale environments.
• Experience testing Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Cloud Service applications.
• Extensive experience designing and executing both manual and automated testing strategies.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for end-to-end test automation and CI/CD integration.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted testing and automation tools to improve test creation, maintenance, and defect detection.
• Experience leading quality engineering practices across the SDLC and mentoring QA engineers.

Responsibilities

• Validate component functionality and integration points with backend services for AEM and CMS solutions.
• Oversee setup and maintenance of test environments, including cloud-based testing infrastructure.
• Stay up-to-date on frontend/backend technologies and continuously improve QA skills.
• Mentor QA engineers and foster a culture of testing excellence and innovation.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites for functional, regression, performance, and security testing across web and mobile.

Position Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality engineering automation to enhance the overall quality and reliability of software products
• Establish processes & tools to maintain automation scripts and generate reports for faster bug tracking & reporting
• Analyze automation results and investigate failures
• Develop test patterns to evaluate the solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability
• Drive software development process to ensure quality-centric methodologies; captures, records, and implements leading practices for continued QA improvements
• Prepare and deliver formal quality audit reports
• Identify critical metrics for product quality and tracks the identified quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities, defect frequency, and first-time pass rate
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams including developers, product managers, and DevOps to define quality standards and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Collaborate with AEM developers to validate component-level functionality, content authoring workflows, and integration points with backend services
• Control, update and distribute new and revised quality standards and technical changes
• Oversee the setup and maintenance of test environments, including cloud-based testing infrastructure and service virtualization
• Stay up-to-date on the latest frontend and backend technologies and trends, consistently improving skills and competencies to address diverse application challenges
• Mentor and guide other team members on QA/QE practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in testing practices
• Develop and maintain automated test suites for functional, regression, performance, and security testing across web and mobile platforms

Required Qualifications

• 5–10 years of progressive experience in Quality Engineering, Software Testing, or Quality Assurance, with a strong track record in large-scale, complex software environments
• Experience testing Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Cloud Service applications.
• Extensive experience designing and executing both manual and automated testing strategies.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for end-to-end test automation, including framework development, maintenance, and CI/CD integration.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted testing and automation tools to improve test creation, maintenance, defect detection, test data generation, and overall quality engineering efficiency.
• Experience leading quality engineering practices across the SDLC and mentoring QA engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI-powered testing platforms and capabilities such as:
• AI-assisted test generation
• Self-healing test automation
• Intelligent test execution and prioritization
• AI-based visual validation and defect detection
• Generative AI tools supporting quality engineering workflows
• Experience with additional automation frameworks including Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, and API testing tools such as Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Experience with website quality, accessibility, SEO, and content validation tools such as Siteimprove.
• Experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
• Experience with security testing tools such as OWASP ZAP or Burp Suite.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, QA governance, release quality controls, and defect management practices.
• Knowledge of cloud-native application development and cloud fundamentals.
• Experience testing enterprise digital platforms, CMS solutions, and customer-facing web applications.
