Job summary

Vishay is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer in Binan, Laguna to manage customer quality complaints and drive continuous improvement across production, product, design, and supply chain processes.

You will lead 8D investigations, review defect logs, and implement corrective actions with a focus on MOSFET/IC manufacturing quality. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (electronics/electrical preferred).
• Minimum 10 years in Quality Assurance in a semiconductor environment; external manufacturing exposure.
• Strong knowledge in problem solving, process and quality control tools, risk assessment.
• Expertise in MOSFETs and IC manufacturing processes including wafer, package, assembly, failure mode analysis.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to work in Binan, Laguna.

Responsibilities

Siliconix Philippines, Inc. is currently seeking applicants for a Senior Quality Engineer to manage and resolve customer quality complaints efficiently and accurately. This role protects customer satisfaction, ensures regulatory compliance, and uses data to drive continuous improvement across production, product, design, and supply chain processes.

Job Location: Binan, Laguna

What you will be doing:

Customer Complaints Handling

• Ensure that all customer complaints / non-conformance to required characteristics of finished products are responded to, eliminated, contained and corrected effectively and in a timely manner.
• Review returned parts or products, examine defect logs, and lead technical failure analyses/investigation.

8D report generation and issuance, including supporting report

• Ensure 8D requirements and customer reports are met, following the review/approval process until closure.
• Use standard quality tools (such as 8D, Fishbone/FTA, or 3x5-Why) to find why the defect happened.

Quality Performance monitoring

• On-time updating and issuance of Customer Quality Key Performance goals, e.g., CCAR KPIs, Look across.
• Coordinate with KPI owners the action measures on missed metrics and goals.

Look Across (Lessons Learned)

• Fan-in and Fan-out of CCAR and customer lessons learned sharing to Internal and External site.

Non-conforming Lots Handling

• Review and ensures quality requirements on MRB/MAV are met.
• Develop and implement Quality controls and Improvement actions for Internal Plant.

Change Management

• Support the CAB review and follow-up closure.

NPI Quality support

• Support NPI review related to customer quality lessons learned.

Continuous Improvement

• Determine the CIP to address the systemic issue related to Quality
• Drive Internal plant to implement committed CIPs
• On-time issuance and notification of Vishay requirements

Effectiveness Monitoring Review

• Keep records updated in quality systems and monitor defect trends to spot high-risk production areas Drives improvements on missed and/or deteriorating metrics
• Lead meeting cadence for CCAR KPI improvement
• Conduct CAPA Audit

Customer and Line Audit

• Conduct CAPA Audit on committed action for Internal Plant from CCAR/8D/MRB.
• Compliance Audit for Internal Plant
• Support for External Audit (Subcons)

What will you bring along:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (preferably Electronics/Electrical Engineering).
• Minimum 10 years' experience in Quality Assurance functions acquired from a semiconductor company; With exposure to External Manufacturing
• Strong knowledge in Problem Solving Techniques, Process and Quality Control Tools, Risk Assessment; Knowledge in Change management, NPI, Quality Audits, etc.
• With expertise in manufacturing and working principles of MOSFETs and IC products including wafer, package, assembly, failure mode and effect, analytical techniques.
• Excellent communication skills
• Open to work in Binan, Laguna
