Turnitin is seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineer to lead quality across web and desktop apps, building automation frameworks and continuous testing models. You will guide QA strategy and mentor teams to ensure robust software delivery.

This remote-first role emphasizes AI-assisted testing, scalable test data, and high-quality releases that underpin Turnitin's global learning integrity solutions for thousands of institutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of QA/testing experience in software quality roles.
• Experience designing and implementing automation in QA environments.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, QA concepts, and test strategy.
• Proficiency with Selenium and/or Playwright for automated UI testing.

Responsibilities

• Defines and implements QA best practices, test strategies, and plans for the domain.
• Participates in functional, regression, integration testing and test planning.
• Collaborates with teams to provide in-process testing results.
• Develops, executes, and maintains automated and manual tests and frameworks.
• Enhances test coverage and participates in releases and code reviews.
• Mentors teams on QA practices and incident reviews; champions quality ownership.
• Applies AI tools to script generation, maintenance, and test data creation.
