Job summary

NOVACARD seeks a Senior QA Engineer to ensure mobile and backend quality across Android, iOS, APIs, queues, and databases. You’ll design test cases, perform functional and integration testing, and help build robust release practices in a fast-paced fintech environment.

The role is fully remote with occasional travel. You will collaborate with product, development, analytics, and QA teams globally to detect risks before release and improve testing coverage across microservices and messaging

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience testing complex software systems.
• 2+ years testing external integrations and APIs.
• Strong mobile testing experience for Android and iOS.
• Hands-on logs experience: Android Logcat and iOS Console.
• Experience testing across OS versions, devices, and screen sizes.
• Solid knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Proficient in REST and SOAP API testing with XML/JSON.
• Ability to write medium-complexity SQL queries and validate data.
• Experience with microservices architectures and tracing.
• Familiar with logging/monitoring tools (Kibana/OpenSearch/Grafana).

Responsibilities

• Analyze new functionality, create test designs, and write test cases.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Test mobile apps on Android and iOS across OS versions and devices.
• Validate end-to-end scenarios across APIs, queues, and DBs.
• Prepare and maintain test data across lifecycle stages and offers.
• Analyze results, report defects, and assess risk exposure.
• Review requirements and align dependencies with teams before testing.
• Estimate testing effort and help maintain regression suites.
• Trace requests across services and collaborate with developers.
• Continuously improve QA processes and coverage with teams.
