Job summary

JLT Customs Brokerage in the Philippines is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to own quality across our web platform, from test strategy to production readiness. You will design automation, gate releases and collaborate with engineering and product to ensure reliable releases.

The role requires 5+ years in software QA, hands-on experience with Playwright/Cypress/Selenium, scripting (TypeScript/JavaScript or Python), API testing, CI pipelines, and performance testing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software QA, including 2+ years leading test automation for a web application.
• Hands-on experience with an E2E automation framework (Playwright, Cypress or Selenium).
• Proficient in at least one scripting language (TypeScript/JavaScript or Python).
• API testing experience (REST, authentication, webhooks) with tools such as Postman.
• Experience integrating tests into CI pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar).
• Working SQL knowledge for data verification.
• Performance/load testing experience (k6, JMeter, Locust).
• Strong understanding of the SDLC, agile practices and risk-based test prioritisation.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English; precise bug reports and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the QA strategy: test pyramid, coverage targets and release criteria
• Design, build and maintain automated test suites (unit, API, integration, end-to-end) integrated into CI/CD
• Plan and execute manual and exploratory testing for new features and complex workflows
• Write clear test plans, test cases and acceptance criteria in collaboration with product and engineering
• Perform regression, performance and load testing before major releases
• Test across browsers, devices and screen sizes; verify accessibility and localisation
• Triage, reproduce and document defects; track them to resolution and measure escaped-defect rate
• Review pull requests for testability and coach developers on testing practices
• Maintain test data, fixtures and staging environments
• Report on quality metrics and drive continuous improvement of the QA process
