Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join a 5G benchmarking tool project. You will develop and maintain automated and manual test suites for a containerized micro-services solution leveraging Python, REST/gRPC, and OpenAPIv3 in a CI/CD environment.

The role requires strong automation skills across backend APIs, frontend UI, and test strategy, with deep telecom domain knowledge and experience in large-scale network testing. OpenStack/hybrid cloud exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

6+ years of Python for test automation with pytest/unittest.
6+ years API test automation with REST/gRPC and schema validation.
3+ years frontend automation using Selenium/Playwright/Cypress.
Experience in CI/CD integration and gating merges on results.
Test strategy and design with risk-based planning.
Root-cause analysis and high-quality bug reporting.
Knowledge of 5G core networks (5GC) and related protocols.
Understanding of network test concepts: traffic generation and KPIs.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automated and manual test cases for functional and non-functional requirements.
Develop and update test plans and utility libraries using Python.
Execute tests (manual/automated) within CI/CD pipelines and emphasize automation.
Create, track and verify defects and propose QA process improvements.
Align testing with 5G telecom standards and test scenarios (signaling, throughput, sessions).
