Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Laguna, Philippines, is seeking a Production Start-Up / Ramp Lead to supervise startup activities and manage the transition from NPI to mass production.

You will define manpower needs, plan cycles, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery as ramp requirements evolve. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and at least 5 years in semiconductor manufacturing with strong line-balancing and SPC knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and strong knowledge of production flow, line balancing and takt time.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in semiconductor manufacturing and shopfloor supervision.
• Ability to manage operations under uncertainty and influence cross-functional teams.
• Experience with process validation, qualification and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Supervise start-up, pilot and development production activities and ensure smooth NPI to mass production transition.
• Plan manpower, monitor line performance, and define headcount to support ramp-up targets.
• Lead daily start-up execution, pilot runs and validation lots.
• Ensure readiness of 4M (Man, Machine, Method, Materials) before line start.
• Maintain line balance, monitor output, and react to abnormalities promptly.
• Train operators on new processes and product requirements; build multi-skilled teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety and EHS standards during ramp and trials.
