Job summary

Palecek Imports, Inc. is seeking a senior Product Engineer for the Philippines, based in Angeles City. You will convert design concepts into production-ready solutions, managing drawings, BOMs, materials, and testing across wood, metal, upholstery, and composites.

You will collaborate with factory R&D, sample rooms, engineering and production teams, travel regularly within the Philippines, and ensure compliance with industry standards. A strong background in furniture engineering is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 7 years of hands-on furniture product engineering or related discipline.
• Proven ability to engineer complex residential/commercial furniture from concept to production.
• Advanced knowledge of furniture construction across multiple materials.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and at least one 3D modeling platform such as SolidWorks or Rhino.

Responsibilities

• Translate design briefs into accurate 2D/3D deliverables.
• Prepare complete production packages with BOMs and specs.
• Develop construction solutions for furniture from various materials.
• Collaborate with R&D, sample room, engineering and production teams.
• Inspect prototypes against drawings and finishes.
• Apply relevant safety and performance requirements.
• Provide hands-on support during pilot runs and production changes.
• Specify materials, components, and finishes for design and production.
• Travel within Philippines for supplier development and testing.
• Maintain engineering records in PLM/ERP systems.
