Job summary

SMDC is seeking a Procurement Engineer in the Philippines to manage sourcing and canvassing of MEPFS equipment in line with approved TOR/BOQ. The role requires coordinating with departments to ensure bid accuracy and adherence to procurement processes from sourcing to PO release.

The candidate will lead bidder activities, including shortlisting, kick-off meetings, bid openings, and endorsement of Best and Final bids, with a focus on quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Licensed Mechanical or Electrical Engineer.
• At least 2 years of work experience related to quality estimates and construction.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing/canvassing of MEPFS equipment and systems according to approved TOR and BOQ.
• Align terms and quantities with departments to ensure bid quality.
• Follow procurement process from sourcing to PO release.
• Lead bidder activities: shortlist, kickoff meeting, bid openings, and Best and Final offers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure to run the sourcing/canvassing of all related MEPFS equipment and its system based on the approved terms of reference and bill of quantities. Alignment of terms and quantities with different departments to ensure quality of bid results.

Ensure to follow procurement process from sourcing to PO release.

Sourcing of Bidders

• Endorse Shortlist of Bidders
• Lead Kick off Meeting for Initial and Clarified Bids
• Bid Openings
• Endorse Best and Final Bids

Canvassing of Bidders

• Filing of bid runs thru online system
• Release of PO

Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• License Mechanical or Electrical Engineer
• 2 years work experience related to Quality Estimates and Construction
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications.
