Job summary

SM Prime Holdings, Inc. seeks an MEPF Procurement Assistant Manager to plan, source, negotiate, and manage procurement for MEPF materials, equipment, and services across construction projects at MOA Complex in Pasay City.

The role ensures timely delivery, cost efficiency, quality compliance, and alignment with project specs and budgets, while leading bidding, supplier evaluation, and procurement strategy development with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, procurement, supply chain management, or related field.
• 5–10 years of procurement experience, preferably in MEPF construction projects.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor-management skills.
• Strong knowledge of MEPF systems, materials, and industry suppliers.
• Proficient in SAP and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with QS, Project Engineering, and Construction Team on project requirements.
• Ensure TOR and BOQ approvals precede procurement.
• Review technical specs with designers/engineering and project teams.
• Conduct bidding and address bid queries with stakeholders and vendors.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies for fast turnaround and awarded packages.
• Prepare BAC materials and obtain approvals for bids and procurements.
• Ensure timely awarding and delivery to meet project schedules.
• Monitor supplier performance and contract compliance.
• Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and award recommendations.
• Adhere to company policies, procurement procedures, and ethics.

Job description

The MEPF Procurement Assistant Manager is responsible for planning, sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of MEPF materials, equipment, and services required for construction and engineering projects. The role ensures timely delivery, cost efficiency, quality compliance, and adherence to project specifications and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with QS, Project Engineering, and Construction Team regarding project requirements.
• Ensure the project TOR and BOQ were all approved by the project team before the start of the procurement process.
• Review technical specifications and approvals in coordination with designers/engineering and project teams.
• Conduct bidding process and coordinate with project team and address all bid queries/bid bulletins with the project owner/facility manager, vendors, and contractors.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies for fast turnaround and awarding of the bid package/equipment.
• Prepare presentation materials for the BAC (Bids & Awards) committee and approval.
• Ensure timely procurement awarding of packages and delivery to meet project schedules.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery of agreed scope, quality standards, and contract compliance.
• Prepare procurement report, cost analysis, and recommendation to award to the complying vendor.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and ethical standards.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• At least 5-10 years of procurement experience, preferably managing MEPF construction projects.
• Excellent communication skills, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
• Strong knowledge of MEPF systems, materials, and industry suppliers.
• Knowledgeable in SAP and MS Office applications.
• Candidates must be willing to work onsite at MOA Complex, Pasay City.
