Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a senior leader to head a team of electrical and mechanical design engineers focused on switching power supply design. You will drive design plans, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and coordinate with university partners to deliver high quality and cost-effective products.

Required are a bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering, at least 10 years in the power supply sector, and proven leadership of design engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electronics and communications required.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in the power supply industry.
• Experience in leading a group of design engineers.
• Solid technical background in power supply design and understanding of component characteristics as miniaturization is key.
• Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills to deliver results.
• Team player, proactive and able to work under pressure.
• Demonstrates resourcefulness and motivation.
• Ability to perform electrical circuit design and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of electrical and mechanical design engineers toward meeting overall design goals.
• Research, develop and execute design plans.
• Liaise with internal teams and external vendors to ensure high quality and cost effectiveness.
• Coordinate with key contributors within the company and with a local university.
• Interact across business units to provide solutions in multiple industries.
