Job summary

XP Power is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the mechanical design and development of power supply products from concept to mass production. The role requires solving complex mechanical problems and providing technical leadership to the team.

Reporting to the Mechanical or NPD Manager, you will collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to deliver robust mechanical solutions and ensure product reliability across life cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years in design, sustaining, manufacturing, or testing with thermal management.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and AUTOCAD for MCAD tasks.
• Experience with BOM, ECNs and DFMA.
• Ability to travel if required; English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical architecture and detailed design of enclosures, chassis, and sub-assemblies.
• Perform CFD/structural simulations to ensure reliability.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers to optimize PCB placement and EMI shielding.
• Create detailed assembly layouts and fabrication drawings.
• Review tests including thermal, shock, and vibration during development.
