Job summary

XP Power is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead mechanical design and development of power supply products from concept to production and sustaining. The role requires technical leadership, problem solving, and collaboration with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and suppliers.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust mechanical solutions, perform simulations, and ensure manufacturability throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years in design, sustaining, manufacturing, or testing on industrial or commercial products with thermal management.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical parts, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Proven skills in qualification, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical parts.
• Proficient in English with willingness to travel if required.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical architecture and detailed design of enclosures, chassis, and sub-assemblies for compact or high-power-density forms.
• Perform thermal and structural simulations (SolidWorks Flow Simulation, SolidWorks Simulation).
• Coordinate with electrical engineers to optimize PCB layout, EMI/EMC shielding, and cabling.
• Create detailed layouts, BOMs, and fabrication drawings.
• Review designs for compliance with engineering principles and safety requirements.
• Manage ECR, ECO, ECN, deviation, waiver, and product release workflows.
