Job summary

AboitizPower, Toledo-based Sr. Project Engineer role, coordinates brownfield project scopes to be executed safely, reliably, and as designed across site facilities.

You will work with internal O&M, engineering, SCM, and HSE teams, as well as external contractors and OEM suppliers to deliver results and community impact. In this role you will manage resources and schedules, obtain internal approvals, and deliver Project Controls and Operations Readiness requirements, while upholding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical course graduate with >10 years of experience as a project engineer/manager.
• At least 3 years of experience in project engineering within the power generation industry.
• At least 2 years of experience in project management.
• Experience with OEM power generation equipment, gas-fired/LNG-to-power projects, plant maintenance practices, or reliability engineering is a strong plus.
• PMP certification and COSH (Safety Officer 2) training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe, reliable, and quality execution of approved brownfield project scope, schedule, and budget across sites.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, supply chain, SHE, and project proponents to track progress, manage risks and opportunities, and escalate critical issues in a timely manner.
• Manage project implementation by planning resources and schedules, acquiring internal approvals (such as Management of Change), and delivering Project Controls and Operations Readiness requirements.
• Ensure strict adherence to Occupational Safety & Health, environmental standards, and ISO management systems, executing Stop Work Authority when necessary and conducting safety walkthroughs.
