Job summary

AboitizPower is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to coordinate and ensure brownfield project scopes are executed safely, reliably, and as designed across site facilities.

You will work with internal O&M, engineering, SCM, and HSE teams, as well as external contractors and OEM suppliers to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or a technical course graduate with >10 years of experience as a project engineer/manager).
• At least 3 years of experience in project engineering within the power generation industry.
• At least 2 years of experience in project management.
• Experience with OEM power generation equipment, gas-fired/LNG-to-power projects, plant maintenance practices, or reliability engineering is a strong plus.
• PMP certification and COSH (Safety Officer 2) training preferred.
• Proficiency in project management techniques, project dashboard tracking, and Management of Change (MoC) processes.
• Strong skills in thermal energy systems, combined cycle power plant operations/commissioning, and risk and opportunity management.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe, reliable, and quality execution of approved brownfield project scope, schedule, and budget across sites.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, supply chain, SHE, and project proponents to track progress, manage risks and opportunities, and escalate critical issues in a timely manner.
• Manage project implementation by planning resources and schedules, acquiring internal approvals (such as Management of Change), and delivering Project Controls and Operations Readiness requirements.
• Ensure strict adherence to Occupational Safety & Health, environmental standards, and ISO management systems, executing Stop Work Authority when necessary and conducting safety walkthroughs.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Responsible for the safe, reliable, and quality execution of approved brownfield project scope, schedule, and budget across sites.
