Job summary

Jobtailor in the Philippines seeks an experienced Payments Operations Lead to oversee day-to-day activities, drive process improvements, and manage a payment operations team. You will monitor transactions, coord in-house and external partner resolutions, and ensure compliance with controls and SOPs.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Finance to implement backend process updates and testing for new features, while maintaining high data accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in payments operations, settlement, banking operations, or fintech transaction workflows.
• At least 1 year of experience handling a team.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Finance, Operations, or similar).
• Hands-on experience managing daily operational KPIs, incident escalations, and operational performance metrics.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and process-improvement skills.
• Proficient with Google Suite, Excel, and operational dashboards.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Filipino.
• Ability to collaborate with product, engineering, compliance, and external partners.
• Reliable and organized.
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day Payment Operations activities, including cash in/out, bills payment, and fiat wallet services.
• Supervise and support team members through one-on-one syncs, performance check-ins, and OKR monitoring.
• Monitor transaction flows, dashboards, and alerts; coordinate issue resolution with internal teams and external partners.
• Handle exception management, reconciliation coordination, and basic settlement oversight.
• Review weekly operational metrics and KPIs to identify bottlenecks and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Finance on operational needs and backend process updates.
• Coordinate testing, documentation review, and team training for new payment features, partners, or internal changes.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, compliance requirements, and standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate with banks, e-wallets, and payment partners on operational concerns and escalations.
• Perform ad hoc tasks, update documentation, and contribute to Payments Operations projects.
