Job summary

Emerson Philippines seeks a Senior Developer with strong Oracle SQL and Java/Spring Boot expertise to design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications. You will work across Oracle Database, backend services, and web applications, focusing on reliability, performance, and modernization of legacy systems.

You will design and optimize complex SQL queries, implement REST APIs, and contribute to code reviews, documentation, and CI/CD practices within an Agile team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience with hands-on delivery across Java and Oracle Database.
• Strong Oracle SQL skills with experience writing, analyzing, and optimizing complex SQL queries.
• Solid experience developing Java applications and REST APIs using Spring Boot, including business logic and integration with Oracle Database.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Oracle Database, and modern web technologies.
• Write, analyze, and optimize complex Oracle SQL queries to support application functionality, data processing, reporting, and overall system performance.
• Support and enhance complex legacy applications by analyzing existing code and architecture for modernization and performance improvements.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues across application, database, API, and integration layers.
• Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot REST APIs, including business logic, integrations, and services connected to Oracle Database.
• Develop and maintain web components using Java and HTML, potentially with front-end frameworks like React as required by architecture.
