Job summary

Emerson in the Philippines seeks a Senior Developer with strong Oracle SQL and Java/Spring Boot to design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise applications across Oracle Database, backend services, and web applications.

You will collaborate with Product Owners, System Analysts, QA teams, and other technical stakeholders in an Agile environment, contributing to code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience with hands-on delivery across Java and Oracle Database.
• Strong Oracle SQL skills with experience writing, analyzing, and optimizing complex SQL queries.
• Solid experience developing Java applications and REST APIs using Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of Oracle Database and relational data models.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Oracle Database, and modern web technologies.
• Write, analyze, and optimize complex Oracle SQL queries to support application functionality and performance.
• Support legacy applications with modernization and performance improvements.
• Troubleshoot production issues across application, database, API, and integration layers.
• Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot REST APIs and front-end components.
• Collaborate on integrations with enterprise platforms and services, including authentication/SSO.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and CI/CD practices.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including API specifications.
