Job summary

DXC Technology in Manila IPC McKinley Hill, Taguig City, is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator to join our full-time team. The role involves migrating objects, designing databases, backups, recovery, tuning, and security, with guidance to junior DBAs.

You will work with developers and users, automate backups with OS scripts, and support application connectivity across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of Oracle RDBMS, migration and upgrade to 19c+.
• Experience administering Oracle databases in UNIX/Linux environments.
• Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL required.
• RMAN, RAC, ASM experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork and logical design abilities.

Responsibilities

• Migrate objects and code between nonproduction databases with developers.
• Design and build databases, schemas, stored procedures and objects.
• Set up backups and disaster recovery procedures.
• Perform database recoveries and tuning.
• Assist developers and users with database usage and queries.
• Develop scripts to automate backups, data transfers and monitoring.
• Ensure database connectivity from client applications.
• Design and implement database security schemas.
• Provide guidance to junior DBAs on complex tasks.
• Work on projects ranging from new packaged apps to custom databases.
