Job summary

DXC Technology Manila is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator to join our IPC McKinley Hill team in Taguig. You will work with developers and users to migrate objects, design databases, and ensure secure, high-availability data services for critical applications.

This role demands deep Oracle RDBMS knowledge, RAC/ASM experience, RMAN backups, and UNIX/Linux scripting, with opportunities to mentor junior DBAs and influence project database strategies.

Qualifications

Extensive knowledge of Oracle RDBMS and upgrades to 19c+.
Experience administering Oracle databases on UNIX/Linux.
Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
RMAN, RAC and ASM experience.
Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Migrate objects and code between non-production databases with teams.
Design and build databases, schemas, procedures, and objects.
Set up backup and disaster recovery procedures.
Perform database recoveries and tuning support.
Develop OS scripts for automation of backups and data transfers.
Ensure database connectivity and security.
Guide junior DBAs on complex tasks.
Participate in projects from install to custom DB development.
