Job summary

Dexcom Philippines is seeking a highly experienced Staff Database Administrator (DBA) to lead Oracle EBS database administration across our enterprise systems. The role focuses on reliability, performance, security, and data governance while supporting on-call rotations across US/EMEA hours.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of DB experience, strong SQL/PLSQL skills, and hands-on Oracle EBS knowledge, with a track record of driving database improvements and complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in database administration, including Oracle Database and EBS (R12).
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL scripting skills.
• Deep understanding of database architecture, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with data security standards (encryption, auditing, access controls).
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead complex database projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, administer, and support Oracle databases, including EBS R12.
• Tune Oracle EBS database performance and monitor operations.
• Manage Oracle EBS application tier and concurrent processing workflows.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions (RMAN, Data Guard).
• Maintain high availability, replication, and failover configurations.
• Collaborate with Dev and DBA teams for design and optimization.
• Follow escalation procedures and SLAs; provide on-call support across time zones.
