Job summary

Dexcom Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Staff Database Administrator to lead enterprise Oracle EBS and Oracle Database management, optimization, and security.

You will design, implement, and support high-availability configurations, perform performance tuning, and ensure regulatory compliance across global systems. You will troubleshoot concurrent manager jobs, manage application-tier components, automate health checks, and collaborate with Development and DBA teams to deliver reliable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8+ years of database administration experience with Oracle Database and Oracle EBS.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL scripting skills.
• Deep understanding of indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with data security standards (encryption, auditing, access controls).
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to lead complex database projects.
• Experience with on-call rotations and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, administer, and support Oracle DB platforms including EBS R12.
• Tune Oracle EBS database performance and monitor operations.
• Manage Oracle EBS application tier and troubleshoot long-running jobs and workflows.
• Coordinate backups, cloning, patching, and DR using RMAN, Data Guard.
• Provide 24x7 support for critical systems and participate in on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with global teams across APAC, EMEA, and US for seamless operations.
