Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or ocean carrier roles.
• 5–7 years in a senior management or product leadership role within Ocean Freight.
• Proven country-level or regional P&L ownership for Ocean Freight or Product function.
• Strong carrier procurement, contract negotiations and space management.
• Experience leading pricing, tenders and key account support in competitive markets.
• Hands-on exposure to import/export and cross-trade operations across multiple trades.
• Deep understanding of ocean freight models, rate structures, surcharges, and cost drivers.

Responsibilities

• Own the country Ocean Freight P&L, revenue, gross profit, cost control and productivity targets.
• Lead pricing governance, yield management, and margin optimization.
• Monitor KPIs, dashboards, and forecasts; take corrective actions as needed.
• Lead carrier sourcing, negotiation, and allocation strategies for rates and space.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with core shipping lines and vendors.
• Ensure contract utilization and compliance with global procurement frameworks.
• Oversee pricing governance, spot quotes, and tender execution for speed and accuracy.
• Align sales, pricing, and operations to deliver profitable solutions.
• Act as escalation point for complex ocean freight solutions.
• Ensure operational excellence and regulatory compliance with SOPs.
