Job summary

Emapta is hiring a Senior Tax Accountant (AU Tax & Business Services) to deliver financial statements, tax returns, BAS, FBT, payroll tax, and advisory support from a, remote work setup. The role requires 5+ years in Australian public practice and strong knowledge of Australian taxation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum 5 years of Australian public practice experience in tax and business services
• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and high-quality tax return preparation (BAS, FBT, payroll tax)
• Strong skills in financial statement preparation
• Experience preparing tax returns and financial statements for entities including companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals
• Strong proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel
• Philippine CPA qualification preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual financial statements and Australian tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, and companies
• Prepare BAS and IAS with reconciliations and workpapers
• Prepare and assist with FBT returns, payroll tax, and related lodgements
• Maintain clear digital workpapers and progress assigned jobs
• Assist directors with tax planning, bookkeeping, payroll, and advisory tasks
• Communicate with clients to gather information and resolve queries
• Ensure accurate completion of work in line with Australian tax and compliance requirements
• Strengthen technical knowledge through feedback and training
