Job summary

HRTX is seeking an experienced Lead Mobile Automation Engineer to guide and grow our mobile testing initiatives for iOS and Android. You will design and maintain automated suites using Java and Appium, and drive test strategies across functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

You will collaborate with developers to improve testability, integrate tests into CI/CD, and mentor peers in both automation and manual testing techniques, ensuring high-quality mobile apps and robust

Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on experience in Appium for mobile UI automation.
• Experience managing a team of mobile testers.
• Strong proficiency in Java/C#/Python for test automation development.
• Solid understanding of mobile application architecture and lifecycle.
• Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Excellent communication and collaboration in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mobile automation teams to ensure efficient testing processes.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for iOS and Android using Java and Appium.
• Implement functional, regression, integration, and performance tests for mobile apps.
• Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing of mobile builds.
• Analyze test results and report defects clearly with root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with developers to improve testability and promote best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with mobile automation trends and tools; drive framework/process improvements.
• Perform performance testing to identify bottlenecks and ensure responsiveness.
• Analyze native logs and UI elements to identify issues; enhance logging and reporting.
• Conduct manual/exploratory/usability/ad-hoc testing when needed; create test cases and plans.
• Mentor team members in both automated and manual testing techniques.
