Summary
We are looking for a Mobile QA Analyst to join in our team: a small, cross-functional quality team embedded with a development squad. You will be the specialist for validating mobile experiences across supported devices, operating systems, networks, and application states. You will work alongside the QA Lead, Functional Testers, QA Automation Engineers, API Testers, and Performance Testers, bringing a mobile-first quality lens to every release and helping the team deliver consistent, secure, and usable applications.
Key responsibilities
- Review mobile requirements, user journeys, UI designs, supported platforms, and release criteria.
- Create device and operating-system coverage matrices based on usage, risk, and support policies.
- Design mobile test scenarios covering installation, upgrade, permissions, interruptions, orientation, notifications, deep links, and offline behavior.
- Execute functional, regression, exploratory, usability, compatibility, and accessibility checks on iOS and Android.
- Validate behavior across real devices, emulators, simulators, screen sizes, OS versions, and network conditions.
- Test app lifecycle events, background and foreground behavior, battery and resource usage, and recovery from interruptions.
- Log defects with device, OS, build, network, evidence, and reproducible steps.
- Validate mobile API integrations, authentication, analytics, push notifications, and third-party SDK behavior.
- Use mobile logs, proxy tools, and platform diagnostics to support defect investigation.
- Support beta distribution, release-candidate validation, and app-store submission readiness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of software testing experience, with at least 2 years focused on mobile applications.
- Hands-on testing experience on both Android and iOS platforms.
- Understanding of mobile application lifecycles, permissions, notifications, deep links, and network behavior.
- Experience using device farms or cloud device platforms such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or Firebase Test Lab.
- Ability to capture and interpret mobile logs and basic network traces.
- Working knowledge of REST APIs and tools such as Postman.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with Appium or another mobile automation framework
- Exposure to native, hybrid, and cross-platform applications.
- Knowledge of mobile accessibility, security, and performance testing basics.
- Experience with Xcode, Android Studio, adb, Charles Proxy, or Proxyman.
- Relevant mobile testing or ISTQB certification.
